Bat Dances is a cautious juxtaposition of the movement patterns of bats and of humans: what does it mean to move like a bat? How does the world and the stage manifest itself through the senses of a foreign species? With a solo performer, echolocation, and gentle humour, Bat Dances develops a speculative trans-speciesism to prepare us for impending environmental doom.
Work starts in January. Premiere is in August in Berlin!
