To accompany the changeMakers exhibition of the Dutch Dance Museum, Kareth Schaffer is examining 5 seminal performances of Indonesian-inspired dance that were produced in the Netherlands in the 20th and 21st centuries. Each work proposed a new set of relations between the Netherlands, its (former) colony, and the peoples of both places.
