On The Tip of the Tongue:
a Late-Night-Show by CRUSH
In solidarity with all creatures of the horror genre suffering from the relentless repression by the light, the artist alliance CRUSH is launching the performative, hybrid and artistically explorative late-night show On the Tip of the Tongue! Cécile Bally, Martin Hansen and Kareth Schaffer act as hosts in this first pilot episode, which examines the history of the horror genre in Berlin, from Dr. Caligari in Weißensee to the Berlin Dungeon on Alexanderplatz. What fascinates us about the horror genre, and how do horror personas (for example, vampires and ghosts and bats) suggest alternative ways of being and acting? With honored guests Dr. Claus Löser and Mascha Stummer, horror is dissected, discussed, and made tangible. Interviews, sketches, and dances alternate in entertaining segments, accompanied by the percussive “House One-Woman-Band” Liliane Zieniawa.
The pilot episode of On the Tip of the Tongue was filmed on 30 November 2024 at dance Studio TOAST in Berlin Weißensee, in front of a live studio audience.
